Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote engine requests gender, age, coverage amount, term preference, your health status in plain language, and whether you use tobacco. Those details alone generate rates from carriers. Contact information and detailed health records are requested only if you move to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The figures displayed reflect each carrier's quoted rates for the health bracket you indicated. Underwriting by the carrier determines the actual premium and final classification, which may be better, equivalent, or different from the quote. This site makes no warranty regarding final rates or coverage eligibility.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll provide your name, and your chosen quote transfers into their application form. The process continues on the carriers' secure platform, where you can pause and return later. You'll sign electronically to finalize. Susman Insurance Agency, licensed in California (License 0B75129), manages this process.
Will I need a medical exam?
The requirement varies by carrier, coverage size, and your health details. Several carriers feature immediate decisions for qualifying applicants—those are flagged on your quote results. Each quote shows the exam status: required, possible, or not required.
Is a longer term better?
Select a term that matches the period when your family would face hardship from lost income: the remaining mortgage years, children's dependent years, or major debts. Longer terms raise monthly cost but guarantee that rate for decades ahead. The quote tool displays all five standard options—10, 15, 20, 25, 30 years—so you can contrast.
Does this site sell my information?
No—we don't request contact information for quotes, we never sell or transfer visitor data, and our analytics use no cookies or trackers. Visit our privacy page to read the complete details about what we do collect and who handles it.
